POPE FRANCIS APPOINTS A NEW NUNCIO TO GHANA

Pope Francis has appointed today His Excellency Monsignor Julien KABORÉ,

Monsignor Kaboré with the Holy Father

Titular Archbishop-elect of Milevi, as Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana. He replaces His Excellency Archbishop Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodzinski as Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana.

Monsignor Kaboré was born in Zorgho, Burkina Faso on 18th June 1968. He was ordained priest on 8th July 1995, and was incardinated in the Diocese of Koupéla. He graduated in Dogmatic Theology and Canon Law, and entered the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See on 1st July 2004. He has served at the Holy See Secretariat of State and Nunciatures in Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Costa Rica, Korea, Croatia, Trinidad and Tobago, Philippines and Ireland. He speaks French, English, Italian and Spanish.
